Alan Muhammed

Co-Chair

Alan co-chaired Liberal Reform from 2013 - 2018 and was an original co-founder, drawing upon his skills and networks as a former National Campaigns Manager at Liberal Democrat Headquarters and serving as a Guildford Borough Councillor.  He has project managed the production of Liberal Reform publications including “The Coalition and Beyond’ and “The Sharing Economy” as well as successful conference fringe events, bringing Liberal Reform’s subscriber base to 1,000 people.

He has 14 years experience in ground war campaigning and working with senior politicians nationally and locally to produce and influence policy. He is on the executive of London Liberal Democrats managing the digital portfolio and manages social media for Lib Dem Voice.

Alan feels the Liberal Democrats desperately need to broaden their policy and campaigns bandwidth, given their European stance has yet to pay a significant dividend. Liberal Reform are central to developing distinctively liberal policy: to reform the public sector, grow the economy outside of London/the South East and tackle the housing shortage.

Alan is a senior manager for one of the worlds largest technology consultancies, delivering transformation and offshoring projects for global businesses and the UK government.  He can be contacted on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.
